Positive Company Beliefs

Britannia Café

Britannia Café located in Waterloo Park, Norwich is also known locally as the prison café. Simply, this is because the employees of the café including kitchen and front of house are current inmates of Norwich prison. This gives the inmates a new discovery and chance in life to fix up their career back on track. Whereas some people may be put of the idea of being served tea and cake by fraudsters, drink drivers and pedophiliacs, many recognize how important and socially responsible it is to get people’s lives back to reality rather than behind bars. On top of this, the café is also registered as a social enterprise, meaning that at least 50% of all profits must be reinvested into the business to help support their corporate social responsibility.

Brewdog

Brewdog started as a small local brewery to Ellon in Scotland, little known to be one of the biggest beer brands in the UK. Described as the post-modern IPA, their variety of ales and beers such as the classic PUNK IPA, Dead Pony Club and Elvis Juice can be seen on the shelves in most supermarkets and off-licences in the UK. They have even set-up their own bar and hotels across the nation for a full Brewdog experience on the weekends. There are hundreds of local breweries dotted across the UK hoping to achieve Brewdog’s success, however, it is the values and social mission which stand out from the crowd. 20% of all profits are donated to charities voted for by their fans, they have a strong belief in the welfare and solidarity of their human resources and they only launch products and services they full love and believe in, rather than hitting the potential money-makers.

Canada Goose

Canada Goose is a luxury clothing brand who specialise in fashionable and highly durable jackets. The Range Rover of the coats and jacket industry, the brand looks very flash yet can withstand extreme cold temperatures and waterproofing, the products come in at very flashy prices. With the cheapest jackets such as the short sleeve Gillet at £400-500, these products are highly desirable. The brand however, is renowned for use and support of using real Coyote and Fox fur within their products. The brand has kept quiet and stubborn with regards to changing the materials, as they know real animal fur is one of their USP’s which is still outrageously in demand.
